This mod began many years ago, with different people particpating in the 'build' of it. The purpose was to
offer many new weapons for the players along with some new features to make the game more enjoyable. There have
been several versions that DPG has run, until this final iteration of the MOD was conceived and made.
As you will be able to see, it offers many non-stock weapons, some new perks and new kill streaks. Dynamic perks,
attachments, the ability to 'shove' other players out of the way (when they are blocking doors) and other various
small changes from stock such as the ability to do forced weapons per map (so you could set a shotty and pistol forced
loadout for western maps as an example).
The mod is ranked and all weapons are unlocked. When a new user connects they will at first have a limited selection
for what they can pick for weapons for their class, but as soon as they spawn it will unlock all items in the game
for them (and tell them in the message line). But they are still at level 1, and rank up normally.
This mod is a hardcore mod, the game can not be set in non-hardcore.
Game types supported: ftag, bel, lts, war, ctf, kc, crnk
Gold Desert Eagle
Depending on the weapon, silencers, red dots, laser are available. The Kar can be scoped or iron sights.
The ACR can have the masterkey attachment (attached shotty).
Can be set in editor or dynamically in game. Available perks are as follows.
Perk Group 1 -
C4, Special Nades x 3, AT4 x 1, Claymore, Frags x 3, Bandolier, Bomb Squad, Tac Inserstion, Stinger x2.
Perk Group 2 -
Stopping power, Sleight of hand, Double tap, UAV Jammer, Sonic Boom, Hardline.
Perk Group 3 -
Extreme Conditioning, Steady Aim, Deep Impact, Iron Lungs, Dead Silence.
Kill streaks are broken down into Defensive, Offensive and Other. For each custom class you pick one of each to use.
Care packages only contain 'offensive' and 'other' items, no more of doing all that work for a CP only to get a UAV.
In addition you can get a DeathMachine and a Nuke from a CP, the only way to get either. If you earn a CP, and call for
it, the only people that can steal it from you, are those on the other team. If anyone on your own team takes that CP,
they will explode.
Defensive - UAV, UAV Jammer, Explosive Decoy.
Offensive - Airstrike, Helicopter, Sentry Gun, Care Package, Napalm, Predator Missile, Ion Canon.
Other - AC-130, Juggernaut, Artillery Strike, Harrier.
Controls to Set:
In Controls/Multiplayer controls, make sure you set keys for some new items. You can cycle between 1st and 3rd person
views in spectate, dynamic perks, and dynamic attach and detach.
As mentioned, this mod was a work in progress for quite some time, and has been through a few revisions and overhauls.
Thus many people have had their hand in the pot, and more have released additions to the game to the public that were
used. I am old and my memory fails me, but I will do my best, and would like to give thanks/credit to:
- Those in DPG that contributed to the most recent version of the mod, from coding to fiddling with graphics to working
hard to get the weapons all working right and balanced damn good.
- Those in DPG that were part of the team previous to this latest revision.
- Sammy, Holy-Moly, some others at the OW forms, and at the codutility france forums, for all the additions to the game
that were incorporated into this mod, and great ideas in their own mods that were used as a basis for things in this mod.
- The people that converted all the weapons for use in COD4 from other games.
- The guys behind OW for a solid base of code, which all of the old mod stuff was worked into.
- And for being at the start of the process to help the clan and get the mod off the ground and thus provided a
base to work with when putting it and new things all together, Dante/tally/etc.
